BITA prepared the detailed master plan and schematic design for Telaga Batu Arang area as part of mine closure and CSR program of KPC coal mine at Sangatta. The area is an ex-mining pit of Telaga Batu Arang of approximately 172 Ha., which will be developed as “conservation park” and buffer zone to Kutai National Park. The concept is to develop an arboretum for indigenous plants of the area and also a training centre for community to enhance their ability to develop a sustainable commercial agriculture as well as animal husbandry
